SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. (AP) — A 7-year-old northern Indiana boy
has died in a farming accident.
LaGrange County Sheriff Terry Martin told WSBT-TV that the
boy has been identified as Kevin Lambright of Shipshewana, east of South Bend.
Authorities said the boy was riding on a makeshift seat on
the bucket of a skid loader his father was driving May 3 when the seat came
loose and he tumbled back onto the machine. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Goshen News said
the boy was a first-grade student at Meadowview Elementary School.
WSBT said the boy’s 22-year-old brother also was killed in a
car accident last November.
