Crops would benefit from sunshine, as well as heat

Corn in my area is still looking really good. Parts of the area
got 2 inches of rain on July 8, which was welcomed. It came down at a good rate
– a little ponding in some low spots, but nothing that will last long.
I have seen some stress in some corn on hillsides. It’s not
yellowing, but you can tell a size difference in those spots. We had a nice, dry
window before the rain to get out and spray soybeans another time. They also are
looking good. We are getting the heat, but could use some more sunshine.
