Growers continue to make progress harvesting crops

Another week of harvest has made some progress, but not near
as much as we would like to have gotten done due to light rain events during the
week that have made it difficult to get soybeans harvested. Wheat seeding has
been taking place as some as soybeans are being cut, and it appears there will
be more wheat seeded at this point — just waiting for beans to come off.
During soybean cutting delays, more corn is being harvested
as producers are trying to keep harvest moving along. As you drive through the
countryside, the view is getting to open up more as cornfields are harvested.
Weather forecasts are calling for cooler temps coming and less rain, which will
aid in harvest progress this next week. It is beginning to feel more like fall.
Have a good week.
