Soybeans' growth slow as pop-up showers continue
Wednesday, July 17, 2013 6:00 PM
Pop-up showers have continued. In the evening on July 6, we had a downpour out of nowhere that left us with 2 inches of rain. Wheat
harvest in the area is complete, and double-crop soybeans are, for the most
part, all planted.
Corn continues to look good and is growing at a rapid pace.
Some of the earlier-planted corn is starting to tassel.
Soybeans are growing slow. That has to do with the wet conditions, and they are
showing some yellowing in areas of the field. Pest watch this week has been
quiet with very little activity observed.
