WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — One of the highest honors in Indiana FFA is being elected as a state officer and spending a year traveling the state interacting with and leaving a lasting impact on FFA members.
“These seven members went through rigorous interviews and gave their all to Indiana FFA as they prepped themselves for this convention,” said Dillon Muhlenkamp, who served as the 2019-2020 Indiana FFA state president.
Although the election of the 2020-2021 Indiana FFA state officer team was done in a nontraditional sense due to the 91st Indiana FFA State Convention having to be conducted virtually, the newly elected officers were still able to accept their office and pledge to serve the association and its members for the next year:
• President Julia Hamblen, Shelbyville Central FFA Chapter.
• Secretary Kylie Schakel, Hamilton Heights FFA Chapter.
• Northern Region Vice President Blayne Vandeveer, Tri-County FFA Chapter.
• Southern Region Vice President Loren Matlock, Eastern Hancock FFA Chapter.
• Treasurer Evan Coblentz, Wawasee FFA Chapter.
• Reporter Derick Williams, Union City FFA Chapter.
• Sentinel Luc Sproles, Frontier FFA Chapter.
