Fast Five: Indiana FFA northern region vice president

TRAFALGAR, Ind. — Although he was not elected in the traditional format due to the pandemic, Blayne Vandeveer and six other individuals were elected as state officers during the 2020 Indiana FFA Virtual State Convention.

Vandeveer was elected as the 2020-2021 Indiana FFA northern region vice president. He shared five unique facts about himself.

1. Vandeveer has had three concussions during his life — and all of them occurred during the same year.

2. His favorite food is chicken and he will eat any type of chicken, whether it is grilled, fried or marinated.

3. Vandeveer loves to travel because he can experience new things.

4. He is left-handed.

5. His favorite leadership development event was creed speaking because it helped him find his passion for FFA and the agriculture industry. In 2017, he won the National FFA Creed Speaking event.
