INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Farm Bureau welcomed Patrick Williams to its staff as Health Plans manager. In this new role, Williams will oversee the launch of INFB’s forthcoming Health Plans, including development and training, and execution of the plans once available.
A new member benefit, Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans will launch in October and include a package of healthcare coverage options for members — including individual and family health coverage plans, Medicare Supplement plans and dental and vision coverage. The plans will address a significant need in the Indiana agriculture community.
“We will soon be able to offer affordable health coverage alternatives to help alleviate some of the financial stress our members are feeling from the rising costs of health care,” said Randy Kron, INFB president. “Having a designated manager to oversee the development and execution of the plans will help us ensure we’re meeting our members’ needs in this new area.”
In addition to his focus on delivering the health benefits to INFB members, Williams will build stakeholder relationships, support internal distribution channels and increase awareness of the plans.
“Patrick is the right person to lead this new initiative,” said Megan Ritter, executive director of administration at INFB. “His professional experiences, including building his own business, give him the right skills to deliver outstanding member service.”
Prior to joining INFB, Williams was a multi-state licensed agency owner with Farmers Insurance Group. As a top producer in personal and commercial lines insurance, he enjoyed a successful 10-year career before selling his agency in June 2020.
At Farmers Insurance, his accomplishments included being named balanced agent of the year and two-time commercial agent of the year. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. He currently resides in Indianapolis.
“Patrick is a firm believer in a culture of excellent communication, systematic approaches and relentless hard work,” Ritter said. “As INFB’s new Health Plans manager, Patrick will find collaborative ways to work through the obstacles of the current healthcare market for INFB’s members.”
