MOORESVILLE, Ind. — Equipment Technologies unveiled a new Apache sprayer, the HS1100, this summer.
It’s the first hydrostatic sprayer the company has made.
Additionally, ET announced updates to its line of mechanical drive sprayers. The 2021 models include improvements in operator convenience, power train and a new front entry design.
“2021 is the 25th anniversary of our company, Equipment Technologies, who makes Apache,” said Matt Hays, CEO of ET. “We’re headquartered in Mooresville. Our founding principles are to provide simple, rugged, affordable crop sprayers for farmers.”
This year the company has launched an improved website, improved remote support technology and released a total cost of ownership tool, Hays said.
But the biggest news is the release of the HS1100.
“It’s not just a hydrostatic sprayer,” Hays said. “There are lots of very unique features on this sprayer that differentiate it from other sprayers on the market. It’s ultra-high clearance at 70 inches.
“In North America, there are only three sprayers with 70 inches of crop clearance or more, us being one of them now. The focus with the ultra-high clearance is late season application, especially in corn, with fungicides. This gives us a very viable solution in that market.”
Hays said that it is the only rear-boom, ultra-high clearance sprayer on the market.
“Other really cool things add up to an overall great experience, like four-wheel steer, crab steer, slope compensation, the impressive stability of the boom because of the back rack and suspension — there’s so many things about that sprayer that make for a great customer experience,” he said.
