A portion of the Fall Creek trail in Indianapolis was overgrown and out of hand earlier this year. Volunteers worked to remove invasive species and install new native trees and shrubs. The area is now called the Fall Creek Orchard. It’s located in the Fall Creek neighborhood between the Capital Street bridge and Delaware Street bridge. A stream can now be seen from the neighborhood trail. The Keep Indianapolis Beautiful project will continue making enhancements to the area next year. The Indianapolis Department of Public Works will mow the trail.
