TRAFALGAR, Ind. — As National FFA Week draws near, the Indiana FFA state officer team is pumped up and ready to celebrate with Hoosier FFA members.
The officers shared what they are most looking forward to during weeklong celebration Feb. 20-27.
“Right now the whole state is a hodgepodge of virtual and in-person events. We are doing both for National FFA Week. Each officer has both in-person events and virtual events. After everything that has happened, we are excited for the week and to participate in events such as bowling and skating with FFA members.”

“This year National FFA Week is about Supervised Agricultural Experience for all and addressing the barriers of a traditional SAE and how 100% of agriculture students can have an SAE. I’m also excited about sharing the message of hope. FFA members have been cooped up and adjusting to difficult school years and are ready to see the state FFA officers.”
Kylie Schakel
Secretary
“I’m super excited about in-person chapter facilitation and being able to see the different needs of each chapter.”

“We can set here and talk all day about in-person events during National FFA Week, and I am looking forward to it after the past seven months, but it is important to not shy away from participating in events on the virtual platform either. We have the potential to reach more Hoosier FFA members during National FFA Week than we have before.”
