STARLIGHT, Ind. — Summer is the perfect time to stop by Joe Huber’s Family Farm & Restaurant in southern Indiana.
“Eight generations of Hubers have farmed our land in Starlight,” said LJ Huber, operations manager.
“Grandpa Joe started doing U-pick green beans and then it blossomed into 83 other types of fruits and vegetables. Our pumpkins are one of the main crops we grow now.”
Huber shared five fun things to do at the farm this summer.
1. Visit the new turtle pond.
2. Feed the new 60 chickens, guineas and peacocks.
3. Put a lock on the love lock bridge.
4. Enjoy a day of fishing at the catfish pond.
5. Enjoy the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday mornings, or the all-you-can-eat fried chicken dinners served family style from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
