FFA Convention coming to Indy

Ten event highlights

INDIANAPOLIS — The 95th annual National FFA Convention & Expo will return to Indianapolis Oct. 26-29.

The event aims to inspire the next generation of leaders.

Highlights of this year’s convention include:

1. Student and teacher workshops.

2. Career success tours.

3. Agricultural Proficiency Awards, Agriscience Fair, American FFA Degree, American Star Awards, Career and Leadership Development Events, Honorary Awards and National Chapter Awards.

4. FFA member recognition for their talents and accomplishments as individuals, teams and chapters.

5. Keynote speakers, including Tamika Catchings, one of the most decorated athletes of all time.

6. National Days of Service — a chance to volunteer and make a difference in communities.

7. More than 300 exhibitors representing agriculture, colleges, fundraising, the U.S. Armed Services and auto and truck manufacturers. FFA members can explore career opportunities, while advisers can find resources for their classrooms.

8. The Shop FFA Mega Store, which will be packed with FFA merchandise.

9. Concerts by Lauren Alaina, Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton and Russell Dickerson.

10. The World’s Toughest Rodeo and other entertainment.
