INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana FFA officers met at the Statehouse to celebrate National FFA Week Feb. 18-25.
Chapters across Indiana hosted a variety of events to celebrate, including farmer breakfasts, animal experiences and other educational opportunities.
Gov. Eric Holcomb signed a proclamation to honor FFA Week.
The Indiana FFA Association also received a Senate Concurrent Resolution highlighting the impact of FFA on the 13,000 members in the state.
The resolution was led by state Sen. Jean Leising, R-Oldenburg, and state Rep. Michael Aylesworth, R-Highland.
“It was a pleasure to have these outstanding young professionals representing the state of Indiana and agriculture so well in the Statehouse today,” said Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch.
“FFA is a dynamic youth-led organization and I am excited to celebrate National FFA Week this week and agriculture year-round.”
Next year National FFA Week will be held Feb. 17-24.
