Farm Financial Standards Council

MOLINE, Ill. — Farm Financial Standards Council members elected Deena Brown (second from left), lead underwriter with CGB AgriFinancial Services, Louisville, Kentucky, as the president of the organization for its 2023-2024 business year at the group’s annual conference July 26-28 in Moline.

Taking on the role as vice president will be Jonathan Shepherd (right of Brown), Agricultural Extension Specialist and director of the University of Kentucky’s Income Tax Program, Frankfort, Kentucky.

Russell Morgan (far right), principal with Morgan Ag Consulting Services, Portland, Tennessee, will serve as the council’s secretary/treasurer.

Kathy Reinhardt (far left), CPA and partner with Reinhardt Farms, Seaton, Illinois, retires as immediate past president.

Susan Hobeck, Stoy Farms, Ashley, Indiana, and Michael Gunderson, chief loan officer at Farm Credit Illinois, Mahomet, Illinois, were elected to new three-year terms as directors.

Continuing in their directorship roles are Pauline Van Nurden, Center for Farm Financial Management, St. Paul, Minnesota; Angela Chesley, Van Bruggen/Vande Vegte, PC, Rock Valley, Iowa; Lyle Anderson, Rabo AgriFinance, Billings, Montana; and, Julie Strain, Red Wing Software, Frankfort, Illinois.

The council produces the Financial Guidelines for Agriculture, a reference for better managing financial reporting for agricultural enterprises.
