Scott Beck elected to American Seed Trade Association leadership role

ATLANTA, Ind. — Scott Beck, president of Beck’s Hybrids, was elected central regional vice president of the American Seed Trade Association, where he will represent five states — Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin — for a three-year term.

He is one of seven regional vice presidents serving ASTA.

“This role offers an incredible opportunity to represent and advocate for the interests of our industry,” Beck said.

“I am excited to work closely with our members, share their insights with ASTA leadership and help drive initiatives that will strengthen the seed industry’s future.”

Beck will serve as a member of the board of directors and the advisory council.

His duties include:

• Attending all state, regional and national ASTA meetings, ensuring that the voices and concerns of his region are heard and addressed.

• Acting as ASTA’s primary membership recruiter in the central region, promoting the benefits of membership and fostering growth within the organization.

• Reporting issues of interest and activities from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin to ASTA leadership, providing valuable insights and updates.

• Serving as a liaison on legislative matters at the state, regional and national levels, advocating for policies that support and enhance the seed industry’s growth and sustainability.
