MACOMB, Ill. — The Western Illinois University School of Agriculture recently hosted its annual alumni panel event, providing current students with the valuable opportunity to connect with successful alumni working in the agriculture industry.
The event, designed to help students navigate their future careers, featured alumni who shared their personal career journeys, offered advice and discussed key workplace skills essential for success in the field.
“Our students were able to network and learn how to secure employment, develop a competitive advantage and understand the skill sets needed to advance their careers in agriculture,” said Andy Baker, WIU School of Agriculture director.
“At the end of the event, students had the chance to introduce themselves to each panelist, laying the foundation for their professional networks.”
