University of Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator Diane Reinhold will cover the basics of safely selecting, dehydrating, and storing fruits and vegetables.

Open House and Plant Sale

MACOMB, Ill. — McDonough County master gardeners will hold their annual Open House and Plant Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 26 at the McDonough County Extension office, 3022 W. Jackson St., Macomb.

Take a tour of the Discovery and GIFT gardens, and have your gardening questions answered by master gardeners. Families also can participate in the free gardening activities that will be taking place.

Master gardeners will divide some of their best varieties of perennials for the plant sale. All proceeds benefit the Discovery and GIFT gardens as well as future environmental programming.
