Nancy’s Notes: Two-year journey comes to end

Last call to reserve book

Barefoot Press is completing the second and final printing of Nancy Dinelli-Prill’s “Nancy’s Notes — ‘The Farmer’ and I: Book 6.”

This March marks two years since the beginning of COVID and wondering what to do with all of the alone time we all faced. It seemed like a great use of time to go through the emails that I had been saving of Mother’s which pertained specifically to her AgriNews columns.

Since the time when she began using the internet instead of faxing her columns to the AgriNews office, she had been sending a copy to my email and I had been tucking them into their own folder.

As more and more columns were downloaded and then placed into a Word document, it became clear there was enough material for “‘The Farmer and I’: Book 6.” Being my mother’s daughter, I contacted AgriNews and mentioned a “Book 6.”

AgriNews graciously has promoted this project from the beginning. Our family is so very grateful to everyone at AgriNews who has pitched in to help out.

There have been over 150 books reserved and with this last printing all reservations will be fulfilled.

As is typical of my way of doing things, I have ordered seven extra books to round up the number just in case anyone has overlooked making their reservation.

To reserve your copy, please send a check for $39.82 — $36 plus $3.82 for postage — to: Gretchen Prill-Bimrose, 302 East Park St., Cary, NC 27511.

Barefoot Press has a projected completion date for the middle of March. If this holds true, then the target date for everyone to have their copy in hand is the end of March.

I just spoke with Mother as I was writing this tidbit to publish in AgriNews and she is so humbled by the loyalty of her readership, that people would still remember her. She has loved the notes that have been sent, which have been forwarded to Mother and Dad.

The last two years have been an incredible journey. Thank you to everyone for your generous love.
