CROWN POINT, Ind. — Learn new skills, make friends and have fun with 4-H at the upcoming “Join 4-H this fall” in Lake County.
Purdue Extension is hosting a free, family-friendly event to kick off the new 4-H year. The celebration will include games, face painting, food, photo ops and more.
Lake County 4-H welcomes young people in grades 3-12 in urban, suburban and rural communities. The mini 4-H program features fun, noncompetitive activities for grades K-2.
The 4-H program prepares young people to be leaders in their community and around the world.
Members complete hands-on, learn-by-doing projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and civic engagement alongside their peers and adult mentors.
