Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans update: More than 8,300 Hoosiers covered

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans announced it has nearly 3,900 enrolled plans, which equates to more than 8,300 Hoosiers covered. That’s an increase of over 25% from September 2022.

The breakdown of coverage for those plan holders included:

• 3,099 Traditional Health Plans, both individual and family plans.

• 571 dental and vision plans.

• 226 Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans.

Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans cover more than 8,000 Hoosiers.

The Steinkamp family of Vanderburgh County has had a good experience with their traditional health plan.

“When INFB Health Plans became available, we switched over from our previous plan right away because the cost and deductible were better,” explained Jodi Steinkamp. “We are saving more than $100 a month, the deductible is less and the coverage is better.

“Plus, we never had dental and vision benefits before. Now, they are bundled together in our plan — it’s a win-win.”

Now is a good time for INFB members to assess their healthcare options.

“As individuals and families evaluate their health benefits during this time, it’s important to understand plan offerings and any changes that are being made,” said Steve Allen, INFB Health Plans manager.

“INFB Health Plans are an affordable option for those who are interested in reviewing their healthcare options for themselves and their dependents.”
