SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Save the date for Ag Day at the St. Joseph County 4-H Fairgrounds, in the Commercial Building, April 4-6.
The free event will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The entire family can learn about agriculture from farm to table. They can see sheep, goats, pigs, beef, rabbits, dairy cows and calves, and poultry at the event.
They can also pick an apple from the apple tree, gather an egg from the henhouse, milk a cow and see the production of maple syrup.
Also featured at the event are the annual Ag Olympics, live demonstrations and a chance to buy products directly from farmers.
A pedal pull competition will be held for ages 5-10 on Saturday. Signup begins at 2 p.m. and the pull will begin at 3 p.m.
