STREATOR, Ill. — Streator High School agriculture students are caring for piglets during the program’s annual Think OINK project.
Two sows, Babe and Kris Jenner, recetly gave birth to piglets at the school. Babe, a Yorkshire sow, had 12 piglets, and Kris Jenner had 10 piglets.
The Think OINK project began in 2017 with the sows donated by Sarah Brockman Mitchell in Verona.
Through the program, students take care of piglets from the moment of their birth at the school for about six weeks.
