New show arena coming to La Porte County Fair

LA PORTE, Ind. — Construction is underway at the La Porte County fairgrounds, where a 27,000-square-foot show arena is being built by the La Porte County Agricultural Association.

The arena will be ready for use for the 2025 fair, which is scheduled to be held July 5-12.

Garner Construction was hired to build the arena for $400,000. The building specs are 124 feet by 224 feet, with an 80 feet free span.

As the county’s 4-H membership continues to grow, the new arena will accommodate the demand for a renovated space.
