WEST PEORIA, Ill. — The Illinois Association of Meat Processors and the University of Illinois Meats Judging Team are collaborating to continue the Illinois Meats Judging Series in 2025.
The events are open to all FFA and 4-H members. The goal is to increase access and opportunities to build skills in meats evaluation. Each contest will include a clinic.
Illinois Farm Bureau is sponsoring awards for the top individuals and teams in junior and senior divisions at each of the events.
2025 dates include:
• Jan. 25, Raber Packing Company, West Peoria
• Feb. 8, Eickman’s Processing, Seward
• Feb. 15, Wenneman Meat Company, St. Libory
• Feb. 28, State 4-H Meat Judging Contest.
