INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Pork presented two awards to individuals who have dedicated time to advancing the pig industry.
Meritorious Service Award
Jeffrey Harker was the recipient of the Indiana Pork Industry Meritorious Service Award.
Harker graduated from Purdue University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1994 and has been a swine veterinarian with AMVC for his entire 30-year career.
He is past president of both the Indiana Pork board of directors and the American Association of Swine Veterinarians.
Harker is married to his high school sweetheart, Tracie. They have four children and three grandchildren.
Contract Grower Award
Tom Moulder received the Indiana Pork Contract Grower Award. Moulder raises pigs near Tipton for Keystone Cooperative.
He is married to Jamie, and the farming operation includes sons Colton, Corbin and Cowen in the daily work, while his son-in-law, Josh, helps with trucking as needed. Moulder and his wife have been farming for more than 40 years.
Indiana Pork also recognized outgoing board members Tyler Fledderman, Mike Taylor and Mike Cline for their years of service to the Indiana pork industry.
