Lake County Fair prepares for open horse show

CROWN POINT, Ind. — The All-Breed Classic Open Horse Show will be a must-see event Aug. 1-3 at the Lake County Fair.

This event showcases top-tier talent across multiple disciplines. The show schedule has been posted and riders are encouraged to register early.

“The All-Breed Classic Open Horse Show is a true showcase of dedication and skill within the equestrian community,” said Nicole Gladstone, Lake County Fair spokesperson.

“Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a first-time participant, this event offers something for everyone. We invite riders of all levels to join us and be part of this incredible tradition.”

Important Notes

• To qualify as a novice rider, you must have no more than three blue ribbons at any show.

• You must show in halter, SMS or in-hand categories to nominate for the Four Divisions of Highpoint Awards.

• Age determination is based on ages as of January.

• Riders 14 years and under must have an adult rider in their cart.

This year’s fair will take place Aug. 1-10.
