715-HP tractor introduced by Case IH

Increased performance, power and torque

Tom Curley talks about the new heavy-duty undercarriage of the Case IH Steiger 715 Quadtrac which is the largest tractor built by the company. This is a purposeful built track system designed for the added horsepower.

DECATUR, Ill. – The Steiger 715 Quadtrac is the largest tractor built by Case IH.

“This is a pretty exciting year for us as we launch the new largest tractor we’ve ever built,” said Tom Curley, Case IH global product manager for Steiger tractors.

“The 715 is powered by a C16 Fiat Powertrain engine,” Curley said on the Case IH lot at the Farm Progress Show. “The 16-liter twin turbocharged engine was purposely made for this tractor.”

The 715-horsepower tractor was designed based on years of feedback from customers, Curley said. “It was developed for more productivity to pull implements faster and deeper so farmers can get more done in an hour,” he added.

“I think customers will be smiling when they drive this tractor because they can really feel the increased performance, power and torque this engine develops,” Curley stated.

“The all new heavy-duty undercarriage features a larger drive wheel, larger footprint and longer track length to put the power to the ground from our new engine,” Curley said. “This is a purposeful built track system for the added horsepower.”

New Case IH tractor styling is featured on the 715 Steiger. “That includes higher output work lights, an electric actuator hood and it also includes all the latest tech features,” Curley noted.

“This tractor has the model year 2024 cab that we launched at the National Farm Machinery Show. It has integrated hand rails for better stability, improved monitor mounting in the cab and a premium sound system option for customers looking for stereo performance during long days.”

The Steiger 715 is the same size as the Steiger 645. “We are putting the most power to the ground as efficiently as possible in the smallest package as possible to maintain maneuverability,” Curley said.

Electric Famall

The next evolution of the Case IH Farmall line is the 75C Electric tractor.

“I think this tractor is going to accelerate the evolution towards electrification and autonomy,” said Jeff Akel, Case IH global tractor product marketing — BEV. “This is the first step on that path.”

“This is an industry-first fully electric utility tractor with autonomous features,” Akel explained. “It has a 110-kilowatt hour battery with a run time of four to eight hours depending on the usage.”

With the fast-charging system, Akel said, the battery can be recharged in less than one hour. “If you have pretty heavy usage in the morning, you can take the tractor to the shed, charge it up and be ready to go in the afternoon,” he added.

“This tractor works in a way any diesel tractor works,” Akel said. “We haven’t compromised a thing.”

The 75-horsepower tractor has fantastic drivability, Akel said. “You get instant acceleration, torque at any power, very comfortable air ride seats and an electronic power shuttle that you can tell as soon as you’re in the seat.”

The rooftop of the 75C is tech-enabled. “It gives us the autonomous features and there are 360-vision cameras for enhanced safety when operating,” Akel explained.

“Most importantly, the tractor has zero emissions and it’s quiet,” Akel stated. “So it fits large corporate customers and municipalities that are focused on reducing emissions and meeting all the noise regulations.”

Subcompact Tractor

Case IH introduced the Farmall 25SC tractor at the Farm Progress Show. “This subcompact tractor will be great for landowners,” said Joe Miller, Case IH global tractor product marketing lead. “The unit here has a deck mower, loader and backhoe, making it a really good utility tractor.”

The Farmall 25A is a Class 2 economy compact tractor. “It is a no frills, larger frame tractor with 25 horsepower that gives you a better size for some of the larger jobs,” the product marketing lead stated.

“This is the most complete tractor lineup Case IH has fielded from 25 to 715 horsepower,” Miller said. “This is about solutions to get more done in less time.

“And it’s about horsepower to pull wider implements to cover more acres in a single pass or the same size implement that you can pull faster,” Miller said.
