ATLANTA, Ill. — PrairiErth Farm will host a fruit tree pruning workshop on Feb. 8.
The event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. and feature Nick Frillman, University of Illinois local foods and small farms Extension educator serving Livingston, McLean and Woodford counties.
A fourth-generation U of I graduate, Frillman earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in political science and Spanish. He holds a master’s degree in crop science with a focus in crop production.
After graduation, Frillman gained additional on-farm experience as a vegetable apprentice on a small family farm near Sandy, Oregon. He is versed in community supported agriculture and farmers market operations from the perspective of a small farm operator.
