Langreck: What’s cooking?

It’s no secret that when it comes to cooking, and not burning what I am making, I’m not very good at it. Well, I’m not much of a cook at all really, but I now run a household of eight, six of those being children, with one of them having an immune issue, and going out to eat all the time isn’t easy, or cheap.

Same goes for DoorDash or getting takeout for every meal, plus not too mention eating fast food every meal isn’t probably the healthiest. So, I have had to dust off my slow cooker and pull out the few recipes I had written down and put on my big girl pants and start cooking for my family.

There are a few certain dishes I have been able to conquer in the Crockpot that the kids all love, well at less they say they do, as well as my fiancé. However, I know there are certain dishes that they get bored having week after week.

I try to change them up, and some of their favorite dishes are Italian chicken in the Crockpot, as well as a ham and cheesy potato casserole.

I usually serve green beans or corn or fruit as a side dish, but I know I get tired of the same dishes over and over, so I have been on the lookout for some new, simple slow cooker recipes that could also include locally grown produce.

If anyone has any kid-friendly dishes, please email me or send a message on Twitter.
