The National FFA Convention is back in town, and that always brings a smile to my face. I love seeing people make new friends, explore the city and learn about agriculture.
As always, I am beyond impressed and proud of these young people.
As a working mom, sometimes I have to bring my babies to work with me. And, boy, am I thankful to have a job that lets me do that.
This year my 1-year-old and I explored downtown, soaking wet from the rain. But smiling from the warmth of the people inside the convention center.
At every turn the students and advisers were sincerely friendly. They helped me carry the stroller down a set of stairs. They picked up keys that my baby threw on the ground.
It is refreshing that people care.
Thank you, FFA students, for being so bright and so kind. Your attitude does not go unnoticed.
