From the Fields: Good day to spray

We just started to spray June 10 with the corn at V5, V6. It’s 65, 70 degrees now and calm. So, it’s a good day for application. We hope to get that done in three days. We applied Acuron, Liberty and Megafol, which is a foliar fertilizer, with a little fungicide in there, too.

I plan to do two post-applications of Liberty on my soybeans this year. So, I think we’ll instantly switch when we’re done with corn, rinse out, get ready and apply that first application to soybeans. This is our first year to do two post-applications as a standard program.

The plan is to apply Liberty and Enlist on the first post-application for soybeans and Liberty and Duel on the second application. One of those applications will also include Megafol foliar fertilizer. We won’t do a second pass of Megafol unless I apply it on some test strips. We’ll also be spraying soybeans later with fungicide.
