SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Lincoln Land Community College Continuing, Corporate and Professional Education and Todd Steinacher, agronomic coach, will offer a comprehensive Agronomy Journey Conference.
The conference will be held at Kreher Agriculture Center on the LLCC campus, 5250 Shepherd Road, Springfield, and designed with two days of classroom training Jan. 23-24 and two days of field training between July 31 and Aug. 8 with industry professionals.
Classroom training will include agronomy sales, ag-tech, grain marketing, crop insurance and financing.
Field training will focus on how to go on service calls, conduct agronomic audits, speak at field days, profile corn hybrids, and communicate the features and benefits.
The program offers 12 CEUs for certified crop advisers, and participants who are not CCAs will receive complimentary access to the CCA exam prep and digital materials.
The program will be taught by a variety of industry leaders, including Steinacher, a CCA and agronomy coach with 20 years of industry experience, including being named Illinois CCA of the Year and International CCA of the Year.
Steinacher is a LLCC agriculture alumnus and former adjunct instructor who currently teaches LLCC’s CCA test prep class.
The cost for the conference is $1,500, which covers both classroom and hands-on field training dates.
